Abstract: Based on the British series of the same name, Showtime's 'Queer as Folk' presents the American version. Focusing on the loves, careers, ambitions and relationships of gay men and women in Pittsburgh, 'Queer as Folk' is a riveting drama full of sex, drugs, adventure, friendship and love. In addition to the sexual escapades and relationships of the five friends, the show explores critical gay political and health issuesAbstract: Justin (Randy Harrison) begins a difficult recuperation from the savage attack that occurred at the end of the first season, and Brian (Gale Harold) curbs his libidinous ways as he waits for his lover to sift through the physical and emotional aftermath. Emmett's (Peter Paige) stand-in appearance on Ted's (Scott Lowell) failing porn site leads to sudden star status, and he earns a coveted ""Crystal Dick"" award from the Academy of Pornographic Arts & Sciences for his ""work."" Meanwhile, Melanie (Michelle Clunie) and Lindsay (Thea Gill) become convinced that their son, Gus, has been refused entrance to an elite school because they're lesbians. Michael (Hal Sparks) has regained life focus by coming up with the concept for a gay superhero with Justin, and they prepare for a highly publicized launch by season's end
