Set during World War II, 16 year-old Irish activist Brendan Behan is sent to Borstal, a reform school in England, after getting caught trying to smuggle explosives into Liverpool. While at Borstal, Brendan's beliefs are challenged, and he is forced to explore a deep conflict within himself.
